Soft core coloured pencil sets from 36 up to 180 colours, in wax-based and oil-based cores. Oil-based cores hold a point longer and resist the pale bloom that wax develops after a few weeks; wax lays down more smoothly and burnishes better. Build colour in light layers — pressing hard flattens the paper tooth and after that no further colour will take.
